Cheryl Hickey was born on January 8 1976 in Owen Sound, Ontario Canada

Professionally after graduating from college, After graduating, she moved back to Owen Sound where she first got a job at the K106.5, to work as a correspondent and later as an afternoon news anchor.
After a year and a half later, she got an opportunity to work for The New VR in Barrie, Ontario, initially as a production assistant before working as a news writer for their six o’clock newscast. During that time, she learned how to operate a camera and film the news.
Then in May 1999, she became a member of Global Television Network and worked as a Photojournalist and a chopper news reporter and later became the reporter for the Entertainment on Global in 2001.
